Handicap

A handicap evens out lopsided matches by giving one team a head start (or deficit). 'Liverpool -1 handicap' means Liverpool must win by 2 or more goals for the handicap bet to pay. 'Liverpool +1 handicap' means Liverpool can lose by 1 and the bet still wins (treated as a draw, push, returning stake). Asian Handicap uses fractional values (0.25, 0.5, 0.75) and avoids the push.
