Volatility describes the distribution of wins. High-volatility games (Sweet Bonanza, Gates of Olympus) pay out rarely but with the potential for huge wins. Low-volatility games pay out frequently but in small amounts. Your bankroll matters — high volatility requires deeper pockets to survive the long dry spells between big wins.
